Bombay Industries Association

Bombay Industries Association is a forum of Industrialists, Businessmen and Professionals haveing more than 1000 members representing MSMEs, large scale and low tech to high tech industries.

BIA represents a cross section of industries covering the entire gamut of Industries and its branches. BIA is registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act.

BIA History

Our History

Representatives of some prominent factories gathered together on 16th February 1948 to form this Association.

It has a glorious past with chequered history, of innumerable instances where it has raised its voice against the policies of Central & State Government, Quasi Government organizations & Municipal bodies, which affected the interests of Industries, setting up of infrastructural facilities for common man with tremendous successful results over the period of more than six decades.

During its useful existence of over six decades, BIA has continued to serve the needs of the industry by acting as a catalyst between government and other bodies and the industrial members of the Association and work tirelessly to solve the problems faced by the industry.

In 1992 – Bombay Industries Association has been adjudged as the best Association among the various Chambers of Commerce, Federations of Industries Trade, etc., and has been awarded the prestigious JAMNALAL BAJAJ UCHIT VYAVAHAR PURASKAR for Fair Business Practices upholding interests of common man.

Our Strength

So far BIA has been a forum of over 1000 cross-section of manufacturing industries located in and around Bombay and now ready to spread its wings to cover the entire nation as it has now received recognition from the government of India by incorporating it as a Company u/s 25 of Companies Act 1956.

Its present management Committee Members are humble enough to affirm their faith to tread on the enshrined aims, objects & social services offered so far and to widen its scope further for the betterment of industrial progress and service to humanity at large.
