The 60th Bombay Industries Association Installation Ceremony was held on 15th January, 2024 at Hotel Aurika, Mumbai Sky city, Andheri East, Mumbai – 400099.
Mr. Hitesh Shetty took over as the President of Bombay Industries Association along with his team of Office Bearers comprising Vice President Mr. Hitesh Shah, Vice President Mr. Rajesh Doshi, Hon. Secretary Mr. Ryan Fernandes, Hon. Treasurer Mr. Ritesh Choksi, Jt. Hon Secretary Mr. Srinivas V and Jt. Hon. Treasurer Mr. Rakesh Agarwal.
Mr. Hitesh Shetty has been a very active member of the Association and has held various leadership positions within the Association. He is successfully running his entrepreneurial business as Director, Westfield Pest/Hygiene Management Services Pan India.
Shri Shashi Kiran Shetty - Chairman, Allcargo Logistics was the Chief Guest while His Excellency Martin Maier, Consul General, Consulate of Switzerland (Mumbai) was the Guest of Honour at the Function. In addition, His Excellency Aliaksandr Matsukou, Consul General, Consulate of Belarus (Mumbai) graced the occasion.
BIA GOLF was launched by the Chief Guest Shri Shashi Kiran Shetty who unveiled the logo amid the huge applause by the audience.
Shri Shashi Kiran Shetty, in his address, appreciated the Association for carrying out commendable activities and wished great success to the Incoming President Mr. Hitesh Shetty. He shared his entrepreneurial journey and how he transformed Allcargo Logistics into a world class provider of end-to-end logistics solutions. He spoke of his passion for golf, its benefits and encouraged members to take up this sport.
Basking in the glory of celebrations of 75 years of Indo-Swiss friendship in 2023, His Excellency Martin Maier paid floral tributes to values of peace and unity between India and Switzerland. He offered to work closely with Association in its initiatives for promotion of trade, commerce, tourism, education and exchange of technical knowledge between the two countries. Chef Anil Rohira, who began with humble beginnings having graduated from IHM and went on to become Director at Culinary Institute of America, was welcomed on stage and felicitated by His Excellency Martin Maier. Chef Anil Rohira had hosted 3 consecutive Presidents in the White House, Washington DC and is often invited whenever Indian Prime Shri Narendra Modi visits United States. Currently Chef Anil Rohira is the corporate Chef for Swiss chocolate brand Felchlin and the owner of School of European Pastry in Mumbai.
Mr. Hitesh Shetty, in his presidential address, thanked BIA membership for giving him the responsibility to lead the Association. He announced the theme “Elevate, Empower, Evolve” to drive our dreams into reality. The focus will be on the growth and prosperity of SME industries. He shared his thoughts and plans for 2024 and solicited active participation and contribution from members in all the endeavours for the growth of the Association.
During the function, Shri Arun Patel, Esteemed Past President, was felicitated for his outstanding contribution to the Industry & Trade in general and the Association in particular Ms Simran Ahuja (Master of Ceremonies), kept the audience enthralled and engaged throughout the ceremony.
There were approximately 400 participants comprising Executive Committee Members, Premium Plan Members, Past Presidents, Presidents of Sister Organizations, Representatives of Consulate General, Invitees and Members who witnessed this momentous Installation Ceremony.
Vice President Mr. Hitesh Shah gave a vote of thanks and acknowledged the support of one and all including members, partners, sponsors and BIA Secretariat Staff.
